TMSC has a staff of Subject Matter Experts in Early Childhood Development and Education who bring a wealth of prior experience as former educators, administrators, regulators and program directors. They provide analysis regarding a variety of topics in their area(s) of expertise, including:
When the Office of Head Start (OHS) launched the Early Childhood Learning and Knowledge Center (ECLKC) in 2006, they had a clear mission: to provide timely information and learning opportunities relevant to the Head Start and Early Head Start community, and to serve as a comprehensive resource for anyone involved in early childhood education. TMSC was a significant service provider in helping OHS create and launch the ECLKC. See here: http://eclkc.ohs.acf.hhs.gov/hslc
TMSC continues to be a service provider to OHS in developing new information and maintaining the existing resources that the ECLKC provides. OnParents, Early Head Start (EHS) and Head Start program staff, teachers, program administrators, and others interested in early childhood visiting the ECLKC will find the latest information on OHS priorities, policies, and programs. The ECLKC also offers tips and promising practices on many early childhood topics including child development, education, and health.
On the ECLKC users can locate programs nationwide, read Head Start news items, submit a personal success story, and order Head Start publications directly from the site. Additionally, users can register on the ECKLC for a variety of subscription services to receive tailored announcements sent directly to an email account. Further, users are able to share general feedback about the ECLKC or comment on precise content by way of the “suggestions” link on every page as well as submit questions about the program, policy, and law either by email or phone.
