Crisis Intervention
TMSC’s crisis intervention services serve to link together those community services that respond to the needs of an individual during acute emotional and/or physical distress. During the initial intake interview, pertinent information is gathered and the action plan begins to be formed. By utilizing the shelter staff's extensive knowledge of the appropriate providers of needed services, TMSC facilitates the client’s speedy referral and places the individual on the way to needed help.
TMSC staff works with the client to:
- Identify and establish priorities for problems needing resolution,
- Establish agreed-upon goals,
- Establish agreed-upon strategies,
- Establish agreed-upon objectives,
- Establish timeline for action.
