Job Training Workshops

An individual who has been unemployed for an extended period of time needs a group of job search-related services to secure permanent or part-time employment.

TMSC developed and delivers a set of workshops that address:

1. Job application preparation - involves the elements commonly found on job applications. Appropriate answers for the categories are discussed and the importance of clear handwriting is practiced.
2. Interviewing techniques - employs the strategies of mock interviews and role-play. Clients review the types of questions frequently asked during a job interview and practice how to respond. Appropriate body language is incorporated.
3. Résumé Writing - enables clients to use a computer and the tutorial program Résumé Writer to prepare their résumé.
4. Dressing for the job - reviews hygiene, neatness and appropriate attire.

TMSC’s workshops successfully prepare clients to present and conduct themselves to achieve long-term employment.
