Life Skills Workshops

Stress frequently directly impairs the client’s capability to function in accord with societal expectations. TMSC offers competency-building exercises that improve a client’s abilities to handle day-to-day life situations.

These activities are directed toward:

  1. Building self-esteem - improves the client’s sense of capability and value.
  2. Making better decisions - helps the client learn to think through the consequences of decisions before embarking on a course of action.
  3. Managing anger - assists the client in exercising self-control and self-discipline.
  4. Improving grooming - incorporates basic hygiene and appropriate appearance in different environments.
  5. Working on housekeeping - reviews essential elements of home cleanliness.
  6. Career development - identifying skills and interests to plan an attainable career path.
