Communities Management

People with common interests or within common discipline practices often form communities and networks as a means of sharing their know-how. This community dynamic exists to help improve the capability of each individual to do his/her job better, or to deliver on a common goal or objective. Communities are living structures, each very specific with distinct characteristics. Some communities exist around core business know-how and can become part of your work process, whereas other communities are temporary and fade away as specific tasks or goals are completed.

Launching and enabling a community is a key success factor in developing a knowledge sharing organization. The proper launch of a community around business specific topics is essential. It ensures the prosperity and vitality of the community and the integration of its learning into the fabric of your business and operational knowledge. TMSC deploys its proprietary Community Development process. We develop three types of communities to produce specific business results:

  1. Communities of Practice (informal and loosely structured)
  2. Knowledge Networks (semi-formal and structured)
  3. Virtual Teams (formal and highly structured)
