Learning Process Development
To “never make the same mistake twice”, or to “learn from others”, an organization must become a “learning organization”. How can this be accomplished? TMSC has mastered core learning processes that transform companies from those that routinely make the same mistakes into organizations that continually learn and apply the learning to future performance.
TMSC’s learning processes can be taught to any organization, big or small. In addition, TMSC’s learning processes can be embedded into an organization's core processes. This integration into core processes increases the adoption of learning processes into the daily routines of staff.
TMSC offers four types of learning processes:
- After Action Reviews (AARs). This process captures the learning of a team or individual immediately after an action has occurred.
- Retrospect. This process is used after a team or an individual performs a set of activities over a period of time.
- Peer Assist. This process leverages the knowledge of other peers prior to taking action. The purpose is to learn from peers then apply the learning to the future action in such a way that increases performance and reduces costly mistakes.
- One-on-One Learning Interview. This process captures learning from key individuals that are essential to the strategic position or capacity of an organization. Often, this process is utilized when a key person is retiring or leaving the company.
